\\It began with the birth of the Kamakura Shogunate//
Kamakura was the base of the Kamakura Shogunate, and it is said that Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine began when Minamoto no Yoritomo built the foundations of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine here. Today, it is a famous tourist spot that cannot be missed when visiting Kamakura. It gets very crowded during the day, so if you want to take your time visiting, we recommend visiting at night, when the atmosphere is different.
The shrine is lit up until 9pm.
You can visit the shrine, but the shrine office is closed, so if you want to get a goshuin or amulet, be careful about the time.
