A new udon restaurant in Kamakura, chewy like rice cakes

After seeing the hydrangeas in Hasedera Temple, I looked for a restaurant nearby, but the popular ones required long queues. I saw an udon restaurant that didn’t require long queues, so I tried it. It was a pleasant surprise and worth recommending.

🚇Transportation: Take the Enoden to Hase Station. There is a shopping street nearby, just opposite the shoe store.

🏠Environment: The exterior looks like an ancient residence, but the interior is very stylish. There are not many seats in the courtyard, all with large wooden tables and chairs, and there are tatami rooms (but they don’t seem to be open).

🤵🏻Service: Manual orders, no one-up charge.

🍽️Lunch: Only a few types of udon noodles are provided, tea is served, and the service is very thoughtful.

Mentaiko and the batter's kamadama ¥1,460
This is a cold dish, mainly with mentaiko, and a raw egg in the middle. After mixing, it will bring out a little salty fragrance. The hand-made udon noodles are worth praising. They are a little thicker than usual and have a texture like rice cake. I have never eaten anything so soft and chewy. It is very chewy and requires a certain amount of strength to eat, but it is really delicious~

Wagyu Saloon Odon ¥1,990
It was also served cold, there were only two large pieces of wagyu beef, it was so tender and soft, and it didn't need any additional soy sauce to have a strong flavor, it was great.

Black Japanese beef meat sucking ¥1600
This dish is served hot, with shredded wagyu beef and egg in the soup. It is sweet and not greasy, and is more ordinary than the former.
