The Langzhong Tiangongyuan Feng Shui Cultural Scenic Area is located in Tiangong Township, 20 kilometers south of Langzhong City. Originally built during the Tang Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the third year of the Tianshun reign of the Ming Dynasty. Due to Langzhong's rich astronomical heritage, Tang Dynasty astronomers Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng settled in Langzhong, where they chose a location to observe the heavens, wrote books, and were buried there after their deaths. Tiangongyuan was built in their memory.

The scenic area has beautiful mountains and winding waterways. The terrain here is like a crown with nine mountain ranges facing it, which is called "Nine Dragons Holding the Saint". It is a feng shui cultural pilgrimage site for domestic and foreign tourists, and has also been used as a folk Taoist temple and Buddhist temple.
