Great Buddha Daibutsu Temple, Green Train Town, Kamakura 🚃

Today we will take everyone to Kotokuin Temple in Kamakura.

The Great Buddha is a sacred Buddha statue that has been in Kamakura for hundreds of years since the Kamakura era. It is considered a unique sculpture of that era. In the past, the Buddha statue was enshrined in the temple's main hall. However, after a disaster, the hall was damaged and collapsed, so now the Great Buddha is enshrined outdoors.

The temple is lush and green, making the atmosphere different each month. Whether it's the lush green spring, the changing leaves, or the cherry blossom season, the atmosphere is different. 🌸🍁☘️

For those who have finished paying homage to the Great Buddha, you can buy amulets from the temple to worship or carry with you to bring good luck. If anyone comes to Kamakura, don't forget to stop by Kotokuin Temple.
