In the mountains east of the center of Kamakura, there is Zuisenji Temple, a temple of the Engakuji sect of the Rinzai sect. It was designed and completed in 1327 by Mengchuang Shuseki, a Zen monk of the Linji sect. It is widely known as Kamakura's leading flower temple, and is visited by the most tourists during the seasons of fresh green and autumn leaves. In addition, the hydrangeas that bloom during the rainy season are also very famous. The colorful hydrangeas such as blue, red and white are set against Kamakura in the drizzle, creating a poetic landscape painting. #2024TravelReview
