🌿Spending time in a garden on the east side of Kamakura, enveloped in tranquility and beauty
Away from the hustle and bustle of Kamakura, Hokoku-ji Temple and Jomyo-ji Temple are nestled in the tranquility of a valley.
Hokoku-ji Temple (2-7-4 Jomyo-ji, Kamakura City) is famous for its "bamboo garden," home to approximately 2,000 bamboo trees. Enjoying matcha tea in the bamboo grove is a soothing experience, as if time has stopped. The moss-covered dry landscape garden is also beautiful, earning it a three-star Michelin rating.
Jomyo-ji Temple (3-8-31 Jomyo-ji, Kamakura City) is a tranquil temple where the dry landscape garden "Kisen-an" and the sounds of a suikinkutsu (water chimes) soothe the soul. At the Stone Oven Garden Terrace at the back of the temple grounds, you can enjoy freshly baked bread and afternoon tea in a Western-style building.

🍽️ Kikori Shokudo by the Sea | Kamakura Cuisine on a Spectacular Terrace
Located right in front of Zaimokuza Beach, Kikori Shokudo (6-4-7 Zaimokuza, Kamakura City) boasts terrace seating with a panoramic ocean view.
Their popular set meals and BBQ menus feature local ingredients like Kamakura vegetables, Misaki tuna, and Shonan whitebait. The "Stump Set Meal" is especially delicious and visually appealing!
