Kamakura | Two-Day, One-Night Tour of the Millennium Capital: Fun to Play in Both Directions and Directions

Ever since I went to Kamakura, friends have been asking me about my travel plans after seeing my photos. As someone who absolutely loves Kanagawa and Shonan, I couldn't miss out on this opportunity to recommend some tips. Simply put, it depends on whether you're going to travel clockwise or counterclockwise. Clockwise means starting at Kamakura Station and continuing all the way to Fujisawa, or vice versa. The must-see transportation option is, of course, the Enoshima Electric Railway. As long as your itinerary involves getting off the train three times, I strongly recommend buying a one-day pass.

Next, let's plan a two-day, one-night itinerary based on the clockwise route. Take the Yokosuka Line or the Shonan Shinjuku Line, and you'll reach Kamakura in under an hour.

If you enjoy historical sites, I recommend starting with Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. 📍Address: 2 Chome-1-31 Yukinoshita, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-8588, Japan
If you're looking for wealth, you can't miss Zeniarai Benzaiten.
📍Address: 2 Chome-25-16 Sasuke, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0017, Japan
Next to Hase Station, you can visit the Great Buddha of Kamakura and Hase-dera Temple together.
📍Address: 3 Chome-11-2 Hase, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0016, Japan
📍Address: 4 Chome-2-28 Hase, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0016, Japan
If you enjoy playing in the water and soaking up the sun, Yuigahama Beach is highly recommended. It has a complete range of restrooms, showers, and a seaside hotel. 📍Address: 4 Chome Yuigahama, Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture 248-0014, Japan
If you're looking for a meal, coffee, or a break, Shichirigahama offers many beautiful seaside cafes.
📍Address: Weekend House Alley, 2F, 1 Chome-1-1, Shichirigahama, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0026, Japan

If it's your first time in Kamakura, don't miss taking photos at the Kamakura High School level crossing.
📍Address: 1-chōme-1 Koshigoe, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0033, Japan

In the evening, take a stroll to Enoshima Island to visit Enoshima Shrine and watch the sunset. 📍Address: 2-chome-3 Enoshima, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, 251-0036
Compared to Kamakura, Fujisawa offers more hotel options. It's also where the Eden, JR, and Odakyu lines converge. You can dine and stay overnight in Fujisawa, and there's also Gekianden near the station for some shopping.

The next morning, I recommend a stroll through Shonan Kaigan Park. I especially recommend the Enoshima Aquarium, where the dolphin show is truly spectacular.
📍Address: 2 Chome-19-1 Katasekaigan, Fujisawa, Kanagawa 251-0035, Japan

Finally, you can return to Tokyo from Fujisawa by Odakyu or JR.
