Myoryuji Temple, also known as Ninja Temple, was built in 1643 (Kanei 20) by Maeda Toshitsugu, the third lord of Kaga Domain. It is said to have been built to prevent the surveillance of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Myoryuji Temple has secret passages in the floor, ceiling, stairs and money boxes, which are hard to guard against. There is even a secret passage leading directly to Kanazawa Castle. It looks like a two-story building from the outside, but it actually has seven floors inside. You need to make a reservation in advance to visit the maze-like Ninja Temple. #2024Travel Review
