[Kanazawa Castle Ruins Park]

#FuriTabiWinter

This is the ruins of a castle that was the residence of the Maeda clan, the lord of Kaga during the Edo period, located in Kanayama City.
The castle ruins have been designated a national historic site, and the area including the castle ruins has been developed as Kanazawa Castle Park.
It is adjacent to Kenrokuen Garden and is a popular tourist spot representing Ishikawa Prefecture.

A recommended sight is the sea cucumber wall.
It is a mosaic-patterned wall that can be seen on the exterior walls of Ishikawa Gate and Gojuken Nagaya.
It is a construction method in which flat tiles are lined up and pasted on the wall, and plaster is piled up in a kamaboko shape and applied to the joints of the tiles.

It is also called a museum of stone walls, as you can see a group of stone walls with different styles of stone processing and stacking.
There are still engravings remaining, so be sure to look for them.
