Among the many captivating spots in Kenrokuen Garden, the "Kasumigaike Pond" is the one that held me spellbound the longest. Located at the very center of the garden, its expansive and tranquil waters reflect the silhouettes of ancient pines and stone lanterns, embodying the poetic essence of a Japanese garden. Each season brings its own charm: cherry blossoms gently falling onto the water in spring, lush greenery in summer, fiery red maple leaves mirrored in autumn, and a delicate layer of snow gracing the banks in winter.
By the pond, you'll find the iconic Kotoji Stone Lantern, a symbol of Kenrokuen, and the Rainbow Bridge that spans the water—both perfect spots for photography. Walking along the pond's edge, the breeze rustles through the trees and ripples the water, stirring a quiet serenity within.
📍 Location: Kasumigaike Pond, Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture
