Following the sea breeze of Danshui, slowly climbing the hill,
There is a red castle standing tall under the blue sky.
That is the historical symbol of Danshui,
**Fort San Domingo**.
This fortress was first built by the Dutch in the 17th century,
and has since passed through the hands of many countries, including Spain, the Qing Dynasty, and Britain,
and is now an important cultural heritage of Taiwan.
🏛️ A space where history and architecture are alive
• A building with red bricks and an antique arch structure,
• The interior of the official residence that was used as the British Consulate General,
• The view of the Danshui River and the sea from the yard…
Every space creates an atmosphere where the past and the present overlap.
📸 Photo Point
• The view of the Danshui River and the sunset from the top of the city wall is truly fantastic
• Photos taken with the red building exterior as the background have an antique and exotic feel
• The consulate balcony and garden are also popular places for life shots
