Kanazawa * The glamorous teahouse, Kaikarō

Located in Higashi Chaya District, this is the largest active teahouse in Kanazawa.

At night, it is closed to first-time customers, but during the day, it is open to the public for a fee as a building designated for preservation by Kanazawa City.

I ate golden zenzai at the counter, which has a beautiful latticework called kimusuko.

Although you can see the outside to some extent,
it's strange because you can't see much of the inside from the outside.

The red lacquered staircase at the entrance is magnificent, making you look forward to the space ahead.

The sliding doors, rooms, lighting, furniture, and furnishings are all elaborate and wonderful.

I thought it would be wonderful to visit in a kimono.
