The entire Western Sichuan region is like nature's private treasure trove, filled with breathtaking scenery at every turn. This summer, why not follow this travel guide and embark on a spontaneous journey through Western Sichuan!
🚗 Itinerary:
Day 1: Chengdu - Kangding - Xinduqiao
Depart from Chengdu, pass through Kangding, cross Zheduo Mountain to enjoy magnificent views along the way, and arrive in Xinduqiao by evening to experience the charm of this "Photographer's Paradise."
Day 2: Xinduqiao - Litang - Daocheng
Travel along G318, pass through the famous "18 Bends" mountain road to reach Litang, visit Changqingchunkeer Monastery, then head to Daocheng in the afternoon to admire the beauty of Haizi Mountain.
Day 3: Daocheng - Yading Scenic Area
Spend the whole day exploring Yading Scenic Area. Challenge yourself with the long route hiking to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake, or choose the short route to visit Chonggu Monastery and Pearl Lake.
Day 4: Yading Scenic Area - Shangri-La Town - Xinduqiao
Leave Yading Scenic Area, return to Shangri-La Town while enjoying the scenery along the way, and arrive back in Xinduqiao by evening.
Day 5: Xinduqiao - Tagong Grassland - Moshi Park - Chengdu
Visit Tagong Grassland to experience the prairie landscape, then explore Moshi Park with its otherworldly "alien planet" rock formations before returning to Chengdu to conclude this wonderful journey.
