Western Sichuan Travel Plan: 3 Days 2 Nights

Explore Western Sichuan in a compact 3-day, 2-night trip during October, the month when the leaves change color, the grasslands turn golden, and the snow-capped mountains create a stunning contrast.

Day 1:
🚘 Travel from Chengdu to Kangding, approximately 4 to 5 hours.
🏨 Overnight stay in Kangding to acclimatize.
⛰️ Attractions: Kangding Love Song Square, Tibetan folk dance.

Day 2:
🚘 Travel from Kangding to Xinduqiao by public bus (30 yuan). Enjoy the natural scenery along the way. Upon arrival at Xinduqiao, you can choose one of two options to reach Tagong:
- Public bus: 10 yuan
- Private car hire: Prices vary, generally around 500 yuan, with the option to stop at attractions along the way. Prices depend on the places you wish to visit.
🏨 Overnight stay in Tagong.
⛰️ Attractions: Tagong Grasslands, Muya Monastery, Gerti Lamu, Gunu Temple.

Day 3:
Return to Chengdu. Two travel options are available:
- Shared car: 200 yuan per person
- Private car hire: 800-1000 yuan, depending on negotiation.
