📍Unpenji Ropeway, Kagawa Prefecture
Japan's largest ropeway, with a total length of 2,594m and an elevation difference of 657m, at a maximum speed of 36km/h.
Below you can enjoy the magnificent views of the Seto Inland Sea and the Mitoyo Plain, and if the visibility is good, you can see the Great Seto Bridge and the Chugoku region.
The seven-minute aerial walk will give you a thrill and a sense of speed as you ascend.
The top of the ropeway is the border between Kagawa and Tokushima prefectures, and on the Tokushima side is the 66th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, Unpenji.
It has a history of over 1,200 years, and is also known as a famous spot for hydrangeas and autumn leaves.
On the Kagawa side is Unpenji Summit Park, with its lush green lawns. There is a wooden swing in the park,
which has become a hot topic on social media as the "Swing in the Sky"! There are also plenty of other photo spots, such as the "Sky Photo Frame" where you can take commemorative photos with a spectacular view in the background, and cute benches!
