The Pier-2 Art Center in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, integrates cultural creativity, leisure and recreation, and tourism. It was originally a general port warehouse, but through revitalization, it has created a cultural and creative atmosphere with unique marine characteristics.
The old walls record the development of Kaohsiung Port through three-dimensional paintings.
Sculptures with simple lines; red wolves with bared fangs but not angry; and giant robots all attract different groups of people to check in.
The warehouses that were once forgotten and idle have now restarted their lives and become a gathering place for young artists.
The railway that used to transport goods has been transformed into a waterfront light rail 🚈, connecting various areas. Visitors can stroll or take the light rail 🚈 to travel through and appreciate the aesthetics of the area.
Wander on the Dagang Bridge and feel the romance of Love River and the leisure of the harbor. If time permits, you can wait for the Dagang Bridge to start rotating and watch the horizontal rotating landscape.
The piano keys hanging in the lobby of the Kaohsiung Music Center rise and fall rhythmically, as if playing a piece of music. Although the music center is only open when there are concerts, the building's appearance is unique and eye-catching.
