I revisited Kaohsiung Sanfong Temple in October.
Sanfong Temple is a northern Chinese palace-style temple built 300 years ago, and enshrines the god Zhongtan Yuanshuai.
It is said to be the largest temple of the Third Prince in Taiwan.
There are many decorations with the words "Happy Birthday, Autumn," and it seems that a festival to celebrate the birthday of Zhongtan Yuanshuai is being held. There were more buses and cars parked than when I visited before, and there were more visitors.
Sanfong Temple is usually beautifully decorated, but it's also nice to visit at this time of year.
Access:
About 1.0km southwest of Kaohsiung Station on the Taiwan Railway and Kaohsiung MRT
About 800m north-northeast of City Council Station on the Kaohsiung MRT
