Hike up the hill, and boom—salty sea breeze slaps you with a “welcome to the show” as you’re greeted by panoramic views of Kaohsiung Port. Cargo ships bob like LEGO toys on the blue canvas 🚢, while the 85 Sky Tower waves at you from afar.

I rolled in at golden hour, and the lighthouse turned blush-gold, surrounded by couples posing like K-drama extras 💑 (single folks, bring sunglasses 🕶️). History nerds, rejoice—this British-designed lighthouse has been on duty since 1883! Spot the WWII bullet scars on its brick walls for bonus “time traveler” cred.
