Exploring Cijin Island: Beaches, Temples, and Stunning Tunnels

Cijin Island offers beautiful attractions such as beaches, temples, and tunnels in Kaohsiung. Aunt Aom shared her experience visiting Cijin Island, including Tianhou Temple, Cijin Beach, and the Cijin Tunnel of Stars. To get there, take the Orange Line of the KMRT and alight at Hamasen Station, Exit 1. From there, you can walk leisurely and enjoy fruit ice cream sold at nearby shops, which is refreshing. Then, take a ferry to the island for a fare of 30 NT, payable with an Easy Card. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, you can explore the temple, stroll through the market with food stalls on both sides, and reach the beach with its unique black sand. Continue walking to the Cijin Tunnel of Stars, where colorful lights create a mesmerizing atmosphere. The tunnel leads to a spot perfect for watching the sunset.
