The Moment When the Subway Becomes Art: Formosa Boulevard Station Stained Glass

One of the most unforgettable places during my trip to Kaohsiung was Formosa Boulevard Station (美麗島站). It’s not just a station; it feels like walking inside a massive piece of art.

At the heart of Formosa Boulevard Station lies the world’s largest dome-shaped stained glass ceiling, known as the "Dome of Light." This masterpiece was created by Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata and is composed of over 4,500 glass panels.

✨ The entire ceiling is bathed in light, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that feels like walking through an underground palace! Amid the hustle and bustle of the city, I paused for a moment to experience the emotions and stories conveyed through the vibrant colors—a truly special experience.
