Nagano's National Treasure, Zenkoji Temple

Zenkoji Temple, established in 644 AD, boasts over 1,400 years of history. Known as a temple open to all regardless of sect or background, it attracts numerous visitors from both Japan and abroad.
The best spot for photography is from the side, where the lush greenery beautifully complements the temple's architecture.
In addition to the temple itself, the nearby Nakamise Street and Omotesando are lined with shops selling traditional pickles, miso, shichimi spice, as well as cafes and general stores. Strolling through these streets while enjoying local delicacies is a delightful experience. We tried gohei mochi and amazake here, spending a leisurely afternoon.
