A private European porcelain museum hidden in Kaohsiung

Next to Wenzao on Minzu Road in Kaohsiung, there's a mysterious building. I'd passed it several times before, thinking it was some high-profile company. Later, I learned it was actually a broadcasting company. The owner, a passionate collector of European porcelain, opened a private museum on the first and second floors of the company, inspired by the concept of many private collection museums in Japan. There are two free guided tours daily, at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The guides are lively and engaging, revealing the owner's collecting journey and the history and culture behind the pieces.

The entire exhibition space boasts a staggering 3,000 pieces, and when I took my parents on a tour, they were constantly amazed. Afterward, there's a café on the first floor—recommended for a leisurely afternoon tea.

In the sweltering summer heat of Kaohsiung, finding a place with air conditioning and an exhibition is truly wonderful. Highly recommended for art lovers! #museum #kaohsiung
