This time on my short trip to Kaohsiung, I chose to stay at Hotel de Plus, and it turned out to be a delightful decision. Located in the Asia New Bay Area, this hotel is conveniently close to the Kaohsiung Music Center and Pier-2 Art Center, offering a great location without the hustle and bustle. From the moment you step into the lobby, you can feel the brand's signature essence—a blend of local culture, aesthetic design, and heartfelt warmth.

The high-ceilinged lobby, paired with soft lighting and a woody fragrance, immediately puts you at ease. The front desk staff warmly introduced the facilities and breakfast hours with a genuine tone, free from any formal stiffness. The rooms continue Hotel de Plus's signature style of "simplicity with thoughtful details." They are clean, bright, and cozy, with soft beds and meticulous touches—like the curated books on the bookshelf, the welcome card in the room, and even the afternoon sunlight streaming through the window, all making guests feel genuinely cared for.

Returning to the room at night, soaking in a hot bath, and gazing at the twinkling harbor lights outside the window was the most healing moment of the day. The breakfast is also worth mentioning. While the selection isn't overly extensive, every dish reflects care and quality, especially the freshly cooked hot dishes and local ingredients, making the meal both satisfying and comforting.
