Wandering around Karatsu. Stroll around Karatsu East Port "Karatsu Ferry Terminal (Karatsu Minato Exchange Center)".

This is the terminal where regular ferries operate between Karatsu (Karatsu East) in Saga Prefecture and Iki (Intsuji Port FT) in Nagasaki Prefecture.

I found it while walking along the coast of the port with a view of Karatsu Castle and stopped by.

Four to five ferries operate per day at different times depending on the season.

Opening hours are 7:40-18:20.

The terminal waiting room on the second floor also serves as the Karatsu Port Exchange Center.

The area around Karatsu East Port has been developed into a walking path along the coast, and you can sit on a bench while looking at Karatsu Castle!

As it is a ferry terminal, there is also parking for 70 cars, so it is recommended as a place to take a break from driving by car.

About 1.6km from JR Nishikaratsu Station
11 minutes by city bus from Oteguchi Bus Center
