[Saga] Karatsu One-Day Tour

Saga Karatsu, located in Kitakyushu, is about 90 minutes' drive from Fukuoka. You can take the Fukuoka Subway Airport Line directly to the "Chikuhi Line" train, which takes about 90 minutes. You can take a bus or rent a bicycle to get around Karatsu. We didn't go to many places, so we decided to walk the whole way. It took about half an hour to get to the last point from Karatsu Station. We walked and saw the scenery of Karatsu city. I personally like small cities like this in Japan. I like to walk and see different scenery and feel different atmospheres.

🗓️Itinerary: Tacogra (Takoyaki) → Old Karatsu Bank → Karatsu Shrine → Karatsu Castle

Old Karatsu Bank: It is a two-minute walk from Tacogra. The appearance of this building is very beautiful. You can take pictures while waiting for takoyaki.

Karazu Castle: Karatsu Castle, also known as "Maizuru Castle", was built in 1602 and took 7 years to complete. The interior is now used as a museum to display the history of Karatsu Domain and Karatsu ware. Karatsu Castle is adjacent to the sea. Go up to the observation deck on the 5th floor and you can enjoy the beautiful sea view.
