Kyushu's Coastal City of Karatsu

Karatsu is a scenic destination you can reach in about 90 minutes from Fukuoka's Hakata Station by taking the Airport Line and JR Line while enjoying views of the coastline.

A short walk from Karatsu Station brings you to Karatsu Castle, where you can take in a panoramic view of the city. The breathtaking scenery from the castle's keep truly justifies its nickname as the 'City of Water.'

After visiting Karatsu Castle, it's highly recommended to take a stroll along the pine tree-lined coastal path leading to Higashi-Karatsu Station.
