Beautiful Nepal

I traveled to Nepal to visit Kathmandu and Pokhara. Kathmandu is a bustling city filled with ancient alleys and sacred sites. It sits within a valley that includes three main historic cities: Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. Of these, Bhaktapur is the most ancient and unique, with many historic sites and traditional ways of life still preserved. Although there is a small entrance fee for tourists, it is well worth the visit.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is also remarkable—grand, lively, and filled with historical and religious landmarks. Several rooftop restaurants overlook the square, offering beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city, has a charming small-town vibe with breathtaking mountain views. I stayed at Sarangkot Mountain Lodge, which offers some of the best views as it is perched on a mountaintop. Phewa Lake is another highlight of Pokhara, with a temple situated on an island in the middle of the lake that is well worth visiting.

For domestic travel, I flew with Buddha Air, regarded as the safest airline in Nepal. In Kathmandu, I stayed at the Marriott Hotel and used the InDrive app to get around the city.
