“Heping Island GeoPark”
Located on the northern coast of Keelung, the "Island of Peace" is home to stunning and uniquely shaped rocks formed by millions of years of wind and sea erosion.
The highlights include mushroom-shaped rocks and the "A Thousand Layers" formation, which is often compared to the giant rock formations in Europe.
This island is easy to explore, with a walking trail around the park that takes about an hour. If you want to visit the seawater pool or enjoy birdwatching and fish spotting, you can extend your time for a more leisurely experience.
Expensive? Not at all! Tickets cost around NT$120 per person, which is less than 150 Thai Baht. You can conveniently reach the park by taking bus routes 101 or 102 from Keelung Train Station.
The atmosphere here is peaceful and filled with locals. You'll enjoy ocean views, the sound of waves, and the breeze that lifts your spirits—especially during sunset, which is breathtaking.
