If we talk about tourist attractions in Nakhon Nayok, the first place that comes to mind is definitely here. Khun Dan Dam is very important because it helps store water during the rainy season for use in the dry season and helps prevent flooding of houses, farms and agricultural areas of the villagers during the rainy season. It was built according to the royal initiative of King Rama IX and Khun Dan PrakanChon Dam is also the longest compacted concrete dam in Thailand and the world. As for the name Khun Dan PrakanChon Dam, it comes from the name of Khun Han Phithak Phraiwan or Khun Dan to honor the heroes of Nakhon Nayok during the Ayutthaya period.

With a length of 2,658 meters and a height of 92 meters, it receives water flowing from Khao Yai National Park through Haew Narok Waterfall into a reservoir with a capacity of up to 224 million cubic meters. This makes this place a tourist attraction in Nakhon Nayok because you can see Khao Yai National Park from the dam crest. You can see the view in front of the dam and also see the view of Nakhon Nayok City behind the dam. In addition, under the dam is a river and a point where water from the dam is released. It looks like a multi-tiered rapids similar to a waterfall. It is very beautiful.
