The Silk Legend of the Ancient City of Lytsong

Khiva: Khiva Old City is located in the Khorezm Region of Uzbekistan, at the southwestern border of Uzbekistan with Turkmenistan, situated on the west bank of the Amu Darya River in the Khiva Oasis, about 35 kilometers from the regional capital Urgench. The city was founded in the 10th century during the prosperous Khwarezm period and became the capital of the Khiva Khanate in the 17th century. It was an important cultural crossroads between East and West on the ancient Silk Road and long served as a key town on the Silk Road and a Muslim religious center. The old city covers an area of 0.26 square kilometers, with the existing architectural complex centered on the inner city Ichan-Kala as the core protected area, preserving nearly 200 historical buildings in the 17th-century style, including mosques, madrasahs, and minarets. In 1990, it became the country's first World Cultural Heritage site.

Khiva Old City is magnificent and splendid, like a legendary open-air museum, adorned with sparkling turquoise-colored tiles and decorated with minarets.
