Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon
Located in Wat Nong Waeng, Khon Kaen Province, on the shores of Bueng Kaen Nakhon, this exquisite nine-tiered pagoda was built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the reign of King Rama IX. It stands out for its Isan-Lan Xang architecture. The pagoda is 80 meters high, has a square base 50 meters wide on each side, and has four small chedis at the four corners of the base. Each floor displays Buddha images, antiques, and murals telling the history of Khon Kaen. The top floor offers a 360-degree view of the city.
