Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon | Khon Kaen

Or Wat Nong Waeng is a 9-storey pagoda. The pagoda is 80 meters high. The spire is in the shape of a pagoda. It is a replica of Phra That Kham Kaen. It is located on the edge of Bueng Kaen Nakhon. It is a place of faith for the people of Khon Kaen and the people of Isan. The original name was Wat Nuea. It was built by the first mayor in 1789.
