Chikurinji Temple is a representative temple in Kochi City that was founded by Gyoki during the Nara period. ✨
The main hall and shoin are designated as important cultural properties by the national government, and the garden, said to have been designed by Muso Soseki, is a nationally designated place of scenic beauty. 😌💗I arrived just before the closing time, so I had the beautiful garden all to myself. 👏

It is also the 31st temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage! Gyoki, known as Tosa's Monju, built a temple here after searching for a mountain similar to Mount Godai in the Tang Dynasty.
The main hall and other buildings are designated as important cultural properties of Japan❤️
The garden, said to have been designed by the monk Muso Kokushi, is counted among the three most famous gardens in Kochi Prefecture and is a must-see, having been designated as a national scenic spot👀
