Koh Lanta, Krabi

Koh Lanta is a large island that has been continuously inhabited for over a hundred years. It consists of Koh Lanta Yai and Koh Lanta Noi. Most tourist attractions are on Koh Lanta Yai, while Koh Lanta Noi is home to the Koh Lanta District Office. Due to its distance from the mainland, Koh Lanta still retains the beauty of its beaches and clean seawater. The island also preserves the traditional way of life of its original inhabitants, including Thai Buddhists, Thai Chinese, Thai Muslims, and the Urak Lawoi (sea gypsies), who live together peacefully. The island combines this traditional lifestyle with the development seen around the port and the western beaches, which are bustling with tourists.
