It's not that I can't afford to go to Maldives, it's obviously more cost-effective in Southeast Asia

If you're looking for a beach destination with crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and stunning views without having to fly abroad, Koh Lipe is a must-visit destination at least once in your lifetime.
📌 Starting Point
We began our journey from Bangkok, flying to Hat Yai. From there, we took a van to Pak Bara Pier and then a speedboat for another 1.5 hours to reach Koh Lipe. Let me tell you, the sea water as we approached the island was so clear you could see the sandy bottom.
🏖️ Beautiful Beaches on the Island
There are three main beaches here:
• Pattaya Beach: The liveliest beach with a Walking Street, restaurants, bars, and spots to sip cocktails while enjoying the breeze.
• Sunrise Beach: Perfect for early risers to watch the sunrise, offering a peaceful atmosphere.
• Sunset Beach: Ideal for watching the sunset, incredibly romantic.
🤿 Snorkeling and Coral Watching
When in Koh Lipe, snorkeling is a must. There are half-day and full-day tours that take you to see the seven-colored corals at Jabang Channel. The water here is crystal clear, the corals are stunning, and you can spot a variety of fish and even sea turtles.
🏠 Accommodation
We stayed at Akira Lipe Resort, located right on Pattaya Beach. The rooms were excellent, clean, and the staff were lovely. It's close to Walking Street, making it easy to find food.
🍹 Food
Highlights you shouldn't miss include the cheesy pizza at Elephant Beach Bar and the fragrant roti drizzled with condensed milk on Walking Street at night. Absolutely delicious!
📌 Impressions
We were truly impressed by the crystal-clear waters, stunning views from every angle, friendly locals, and delicious food. The prices weren't overly expensive, making it a great place to relax and recharge.
