Koh Phangan to Surat Thani Airport

I booked a joint ticket on Koh Phangan on the fast ferry with Lomprayah. The cost from the island to Donsak and shuttle to Surat Thani Airport was 950 Bhat or about $30 USD (200 CNY).

It's a good idea to buy this a few days before your flight. Then you check in about an hour before departure time. For myself this was 10am. The ferry leaves at 11:OO.

We made our way to Donsak pier with a short stop in Samui. This seemed to take just over an hour and half. Depending on passengers loading and off loading you should arrive around 2:30 pm. We were a little slower on a big bus so arrived closer to 3pm.

My flight was at 6 so plenty of time, but I would advise giving yourself ample connection time.

The bus ride from Donsak Pier in Surat Thani Airport was the longer less comfortable part with no bathroom stops.

Otherwise, still the faster way to fly out of the area.

Surat Thani Airport has modernised a bit and departures are up on the second floor.#mytripvlog
