Exploring Komatsu and Nearby Areas - Takahama, Nanao, Kanazawa

This time, we decided to visit Japan towards the end of summer vacation. We found that direct flights to Tokyo or Osaka were quite expensive, but flying to Komatsu was relatively cheaper, so we chose to explore this area! We purchased the Hokuriku Kansai 7-Day Pass (Adult: 19,000 yen), which allows unlimited rides on designated trains and buses within the Hokuriku and Kansai regions for seven days.

We stayed in Kanazawa for three days and visited several attractions:
1. Kanazawa: You can visit Kenrokuen Garden (paid entry), Kanazawa Castle Park (free entry), and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art (the museum has a playhouse for kids, open until 3 PM).
2. Takahama: The hometown of Doraemon's creator, Fujiko F. Fujio, featuring many Doraemon-themed attractions, such as Doraemon Park, which is perfect for kids! We spent a lot of time there. At Takahama Station, you can send postcards with a Doraemon stamp (postage: 100 yen) and even ride the Doraemon-themed train.
3. Nanao: Part of the Noto Peninsula, where you can see remnants of earthquake damage.

August weather is very hot, so remember to bring a hat, umbrella, portable fan, sunscreen, and drink plenty of water.
