Quanzhou is really great! Check out this travel guide for fun things to do

There are really a lot of people in Quanzhou during summer vacation. Quanzhou West Street and the seaside are definitely worth visiting! The crowd on West Street is very large, so it’s better to go on weekdays. Here’s a guide for shopping, eating, and taking photos on West Street, shared with everyone 👇🏻

☁️ Weather
Remember to apply sunscreen, it’s really hot 🥵! Sunny days make West Street and the seaside even more photogenic 📷. Check the weather before you go.

🏨 Accommodation: I booked Xiao Nan Feng Guesthouse! The environment is great! There are many rooms to choose from, and Xiao Nan Feng Guesthouse has cute little cats! (See comments section)

Eating & Checking In 🔥
West Street is mainly for shopping and eating, with lots of food options 👇🏻 Recommended:
☑️ Aunt Qin’s Taro Cake (best when the soft taro filling is warm)
☑️ Shuimen Guo Mian Xian Hu (photo 10, good for breakfast, especially with fried dough sticks)
☑️ Ai Ah Shi Hua Gao (lots of toppings to choose from, taro paste and adzuki beans are a must)
☑️ Mei Chao Feng (West Street rooftop No.1 is also good for shooting the twin towers, photo 5️⃣, Quanzhou’s milk tea on West Street is all very tasty)
☑️ Tuanjie Fruit Shop (really delicious! Must eat every day in Quanzhou)
☑️ Vee Vee Cafe (the matcha grapefruit cake is really good 🤤)
☑️ Ginger Duck (not the dry kind, mine was more moist, thanks to a Quanzhou local sister for taking me to a local spot, photo 12)
☑️ Abo Beef (photo 13, really delicious 😋, so good I asked the owner to freeze and pack some for me to take home)
☑️ Zhuang’s Satay Noodles (photo 10, so delicious, got up early to eat, highly recommended)

Playing & Checking In 🔥
☑️ Quanzhou Giant Poster (photos 1 and 2, couldn’t get into the Home Inn, so I secretly went to the rooftop of a residential building to take photos, not easy in the hot weather haha)
☑️ Yusha Bay Seaside (photo 8, really beautiful! The water is icy cold, recommended to go after 4 PM, also can check in at “Anaya”)
☑️ Kaiyuan Temple (photo 7, you can shoot the twin towers! The red walls are especially photogenic)
☑️ Quanzhou Bell Tower (photo 4, iconic building! A must-visit)
☑️ Xiangfeng Alley (photo 6, you can also shoot the tower here)
☑️ West Street Cultural & Creative Shops (photo 16, many cultural shops on West Street! Everyone can check them out! But honestly, nothing too special haha)
☑️ Guanyue Temple (photo 14, you must go, go early in the morning, very spiritual)

💥
If you have enough time, I recommend going to Zan Hua, as it’s a local specialty. I booked a local photographer, can recommend if needed! Also, check out the puppet show to experience local customs and culture!
