[Kagawa Prefecture] Checklist before visiting Konpira Shrine

Nicknamed Konpira-san. You have to climb 785 stone steps to reach the main shrine. When it comes to Kotohira, a visit to Konpira-san is a recommended spot that you can't miss.

☑︎Physical strength is required to reach the top
→Lots of stairs, some steep

☑︎Rent a walking stick
→Can be rented at the base for a fee
→You might be able to borrow one for free at your accommodation

☑︎Use the Konpira mountaineering pilgrimage shuttle
→700 yen one way per adult to the 365th step of the Daimon
→Reservation required, highly recommended

→Some people give up halfway through
