🍜 A Taste of Hong Kong at Mak’s Chee, Mid Valley

Craving authentic Cantonese noodles, we stopped by Mak’s Chee at Mid Valley to give this renowned Hong Kong franchise a try. We went with the signature wanton noodles and braised beef noodles—and they did not disappoint. The noodles had that classic springy bite, exactly like the ones in Hong Kong. The wantons were generously filled and juicy.

The braised beef was tender and flavorful, soaking up the broth beautifully. A minor letdown was that the wanton noodles didn’t come with roasted pork, which felt like a missed opportunity. The curry fish balls were average and not particularly memorable.

Stick with the noodles—they’re the real highlight here.
