Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾|Kuala Lumpur's Kwai Fong is actually not as scary as its name suggests. It's a great place for photos and delicious food.

Kwai Chai Hong, located off Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur, was once a Chinese enclave.

Due to its dark atmosphere and poor security, it was described as haunted by "ghosts," hence its name. After years of neglect, it was renovated in 2019, recreating the old neighborhood with murals and art installations. Visitors can experience the rich historical atmosphere amidst the paintings and lights, and it has now become a popular photo spot.

It's truly photogenic 📷

After your visit, I recommend visiting nearby Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam.

Founded in 1956, it retains a vintage teahouse atmosphere. Its signature dishes include Hainanese coffee, soft-boiled eggs, and charcoal-grilled kaya butter bread.

It's a great place to experience Malaysian breakfast culture. 🚩Note: Because Ho Kau Tea House is incredibly crowded, it's recommended to draw a ticket before 9:00 PM before heading to Kwai Fong.

Transportation and Hours:
Kwai Fong: 5-minute walk from MRT/LRT to Pasar Seni Station.
Open: 9:00 AM–10:00 PM.

Ho Kau Tea House: 3-minute walk.
Address: 1, Jalan Balai Polis.
Open: 7:30 AM–3:00 PM.
