Kuala Lumpur's Petaling Street Market, also known as Chinatown, is one of Kuala Lumpur's most vibrant Chinese enclaves. Founded in the 1850s by local Chinese, it's lined with shops, and the Chinese-style archways at each entrance are striking. The buildings within the street are imbued with Chinese style. It's a shopping 🛍 and dining paradise, offering everything from cheap clothing 👕 and daily necessities to unique souvenirs. There are also a fair share of counterfeit brand names, but patronizing them is advised. The food scene is even more dazzling, with many popular online favorites lining up, such as Yiqin Tofu Pudding, Jinlian Ji Hokkien Noodles 🍜, and Luo Han Guo Longan Rock Sugar Stewed Winter Melon 🧋. The market's stalls and shops open daily from 10 a.m. and become even more lively in the evenings, making it a great place to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kuala Lumpur.
