Introducing Rose Park

Zhengzhou Rose Park, located at 80 Xizhan Road in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, covers an area of ​​70,000 square meters. It was originally used for research and production by the Zhengzhou Urban Landscape Research Institute. In November 2004, the Zhengzhou Municipal Government decided to transform it into a rose park and serve as the main venue for the first China Rose Exhibition.

In January 2005, the Zhengzhou Municipal Administration Bureau (Municipal Gardening Bureau) initiated construction, with a total investment of approximately 14 million yuan. The park was completed on April 28, 2005, and opened to the public free of charge. From April 28 to May 7, 2005, the first China Rose Exhibition was held in Zhengzhou Rose Park. In just 10 days, the park welcomed over 600,000 visitors from both within and outside the city, becoming a new urban attraction.

The Rose Park project demolished 8,500 square meters of various buildings and structures, reshaped 40,000 square meters of landforms, constructed a 5,500 square meter lake, paved 15,000 square meters of paths and plazas, and built an 800 square meter exhibition hall. 120,000 roses, over 2,000 trees, and over 20,000 flowering shrubs were planted, and 110 landscape lighting fixtures were installed.
