Who says Malaysia doesn't have a planetarium? Located right next to the National Museum, the National Planetarium is a hidden gem that's not only super fun but also free to enter!
Getting there is incredibly convenient. Just take the MRT to the National Museum station, walk through the museum, cross the pedestrian bridge, and climb a few flights of stairs to reach it.
The moment you step inside, it feels like entering another universe. Here, you can marvel at intricate models of various planetary observatories and get a glimpse into the daily life of astronauts. From rocket launchers to the details of life inside a space capsule, it's all here.
While admission is free, don't miss out on the paid experiences! The mini theater and the 360-degree space pod are highly recommended. The mini theater features films projected onto a dome-shaped screen, such as "Earth, Moon, and Sun" or "We Are Astronauts," offering an awe-inspiring experience of being surrounded by the starry sky.
As for the 360-degree space pod, you can lie back and enjoy an immersive interstellar journey.
The exhibits are designed to be simple and easy to understand, covering everything from the periodic table to various electromagnetic waveforms, making it easy for even kids to absorb space knowledge.
If you're looking for a fun and educational destination for the whole family, the National Planetarium is definitely worth a visit!
