Sharing 4 must-visit spots in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur isn’t just the capital—it’s a vibrant mix of soaring skyscrapers, lush parks, and unbeatable street eats! Get ready for culture, city thrills, and must-have photo ops galore. Here are my recommendations for three days in the Malaysian capital:
1️⃣ Marvel at the Petronas Twin Towers
The icon of KL! Visit from 9 AM–9 PM (closed Mondays). Snap the classic shot from KLCC Park just beneath the towers. When you’re not gazing at the towers or exploring the park, head inside the mall for some food or shopping.
2️⃣ Stroll Through Bukit Bintang & Jalan Alor
Bukit Bintang dazzles with trendy malls and neon-lit nightlife. Don’t miss Jalan Alor’s legendary night market (open daily till midnight)—even locals say it’s unbeatable for street food. It can be quite overwhelming with many vendors trying to get you inside, so I would advise doing some research before heading to the food area.
3️⃣ Explore The Batu Caves
A kaleidoscope of color and Hindu culture, the caves are open 7 AM–9 PM. Climb the rainbow staircase for one of KL’s most famous insta-worthy angles (early morning is coolest and least crowded). The monkeys love snacks, so stow food and other valuables securely.
4️⃣ Wander the Merdeka Square and Environs
A sprawling plaza notable for its 95 meter flagpole to mark the first Malaysian flag-raising. Nearby you’ll find the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Mosque of the same name. Continue walking and you’ll find the Central Market where you can shop till you drop!
🏨 Where to Stay: Upper Hotel Suites KL Sentral offer spacious rooms on high floors, spectacular skyline views. As a hotel guest, you’ll also have access to the rooftop pool, gym, and laundry services.
🍚 Where to Eat:
🥙 Damascus
🍳 Warung R&J (Nasi Goreng)
🫓 Restoran Mon Chinese Beef Roti
🍛 Bombay Talkies
