Merdeka 118 in Malaysia, standing 678.9 meters tall with 118 floors, is the second tallest building in the world, surpassed only by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (828 meters). It also holds the title of the tallest building in Southeast Asia. Constructing a skyscraper of this scale was an immense challenge. The project employed innovative construction methods, including “climbing” tower cranes and modular building technology, to ensure both efficiency and precision. Its robust structure and advanced wind damper system enable the tower to withstand strong winds and seismic activity in the region, ensuring safety and stability.
In the future, the skyscraper will feature the 118 Mall along with a variety of restaurants and cafés, which are expected to bring vibrant activity to the area.
You can reach it by taking the MRT to Merdeka Station, exiting via Pintu A, and walking a short distance.
