Wulongdong National Forest Park, located in Wulong Town, Linzhou City, lies at the junction of Linzhou (Anyang), Qi County (Hebi), and Weihui (Xinxiang). It boasts a strategic location and convenient transportation. Located at the eastern end of the Qi Mountain Range in the Taihang Mountains, it stretches 7 kilometers from east to west and 6 kilometers from north to south, covering a total area of 2,525 hectares.
It is divided into four major scenic areas: Wulong Cave, Sidaogou, Jiguan Mountain and Lutuogou. The scenic area is characterized by majestic and rugged mountains, steep cliffs and jagged rocks; the hillsides are densely vegetationed, with lush trees and vast forests; caves are scattered everywhere, and mountain springs and streams flow throughout the mountain streams.
In 1995, Wulongdong Forest Park was officially approved as a national forest park by the Ministry of Forestry. Professor Wang Xingbin of the China Forest Resources Evaluation Committee and the Scientific Research Institute of the China Tourism Academy excitedly summarized this place as "beautiful mountains, ancient caves, strange rocks, and secluded forests", and wrote a message with confidence: "Wulong has been hidden for thousands of years and will take off today."
Boasting a warm temperate continental monsoon climate, the scenic area boasts majestic and rugged mountains, steep cliffs, and jagged rocks. The hillsides are lushly planted with verdant trees and vast forests. Caves and caverns abound, and mountain springs and streams flow through the mountain streams. A trip to Wulong Cave will leave you feeling relaxed and detached. It's a great place to visit in all seasons.
Wulongdong National Forest Park boasts not only unique and spectacular natural scenery but also a wealth of cultural attractions. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been a primary site for prayers for rain by residents of neighboring counties. Monks and nuns throughout history have also ordained here, making it a renowned religious sanctuary. This blessed cave offers winding paths, dense pine forests, pavilions, and refreshing breezes. The forest landscape complements the natural beauty of the mountains and rivers, while the cultural landscape blends with folklore.
