I flew to this lesser-known city just for these photos.

While Kuching may be familiar to Malaysians, it is relatively unknown in mainland China. I found very few online discussions about Kuching, and almost no one from mainland China visits. During my five-day stay, I noticed that most tourists were from Europe, America, and Taiwan, with very few from mainland China. However, I highly recommend this city for two reasons: the people are warm and friendly, and there is an abundance of delicious food at very affordable prices, likely among the lowest in Malaysia.
