Suizenji Jojuen Garden in Kumamoto City is a garden full of traditional Japanese aesthetics

Suizenji Jojuen Garden was built in the 17th century by Lord Hosokawa to imitate the famous places in Kyoto. The scenery in the garden is as picturesque as a poem.

Walking through this garden, the first thing that comes into view is the tranquil lake and the carefully trimmed pine trees.

The islands and stone bridges in the lake complement each other, creating a harmonious aesthetic.

The "Izumi Shrine" in the park adds a bit of sacredness.

The transportation to Suizenji Jojuen Garden is very convenient. From Kumamoto Station in the center of Kumamoto City, you can take the tram to Suizenji Koenmae Station, which takes about 15 minutes. After getting off the bus, walk about 5 minutes to reach the park entrance
