Chengdu’s new favorite for family trips! A hidden gem just 1 hour away for great photos and fun

Hey moms in Chengdu! We’ve found an amazing off-the-beaten-path family travel destination just 1 hour from Chengdu. It’s less crowded, beautiful, perfect for taking stunning photos in no time, and ideal for kids❗

🚇 Super convenient transportation:

Public transport: Take Metro Lines 18 or 19 directly to Sanchan Station, then a 10-minute taxi ride to the spot. Traveling with kids is stress-free~
Driving: Navigate to Expo Park P5 Parking Lot, smooth drive all the way, and parking is very convenient~

🏠 Staying at Chengdu Expo Garden Waterfall Meijingge is a sure bet:
This hotel is amazing! Inspired by the “Three Stones and Three Waterfalls,” it feels like a natural art museum. Staying here is like being surrounded by beautiful scenery~

You can walk straight to the Expo Garden Jiangxi River Waterfall area. If you stay in a waterfall-view room, you can enjoy stunning waterfall views right from the balcony🌊. Kids wake up super happy every day~
There’s a dedicated outdoor kids’ water play area where little ones can have a blast and release energy, while parents can relax for a bit~
The lobby bar is so soothing! With the sound of waterfalls, sipping hand-brewed coffee or special cocktails🍸, it’s the perfect spot to unwind when you’re tired with the kids~
Don’t miss the hidden Bamboo Forest Trail in the residential garden behind the hotel! Take a morning walk with the kids to enjoy peace and beautiful scenery—it’s so relaxing~
Highly recommend Jinyun Chinese Restaurant! Window seats offer views of the Ferris wheel at night, creating a great atmosphere~ The food is creative, and the summer set menu is just right for my taste. You must try the pan-seared beef tenderloin with dragon fruit; the kids loved it too~

🚶 Super convenient surroundings:

Just a 5-minute walk to the Tianfu Eye Ferris Wheel entrance. Take the kids for a ride and enjoy the aerial views—they’ll love it~
A 15-minute drive to Sanchahu Lake Pier (where you can take a boat ride), Danjing Valley rafting, and the 4A scenic spot Danjing Terrace. You can easily plan whatever activities you want~

🌿 Efficient Expo Garden routes to save time:

International Garden Line (enter through Gate 2):
▸ International Friendship Pavilion (Gongtong tree landmark, a must for photos) → International Exhibition Garden (Egypt / Japan / Nepal themes, great for kids to experience foreign cultures) → Botanical Pavilion (a greenhouse wonder, kids are super curious)
▸ Recommended experience: Tianfu Eye Ferris Wheel, a breathtaking aerial view of the entire Expo Garden~

Chinese Garden Line (enter through Gate 1):
▸ Jiangxia Lake (see the spectacular waterfall) → Chinese Horticultural Area (Beijing Garden / Jiangnan Garden, very distinctive) → Jinyun Tower (climb up for a wide, open view) → Yueyang Bridge (beautiful light and shadow at dusk, perfect for photos)

⚠️ Practical tips:
The park is quite large, so wear comfortable sports shoes when visiting with kids, and don’t forget to bring sun protection gear to stay safe from the sun~
